Feeds
I provide Atom and RSS feeds for every section on this site, as well as for the site itself. If you aren’t sure which one to use between Atom and RSS, go with Atom!
I’ve set up my feeds to provide updates for every page in their section and all
child sections. That means that following the /minecraft feed will update you on
new entries in /minecraft/players as well as any other top-level /minecraft
updates. You could also just follow the /minecraft/players feed if all you
want is to be notified when new players join.
I’ve tried to make this as easy to navigate as possible, so most pages will have four links in the top right to each of the connected feeds: the sitewide atom and rss feeds, and the section atom and rss feeds. Now, you might’ve just glanced at the top right and wondered why there are only two links there right now; simple, this page doesn’t have a section beyond ‘part of the website’, so there’s no section feed.
Each page also has two image-links down at the bottom that say “Valid Atom 1.0” and “Valid RSS” clicking those will take you the the w3c feed validator website and show if my feed is valid/well-structured. Feel free to check. There’re only ever two down there because I didn’t want to go overboard on the images, they validate the current section’s feed, come here to the top level to validate site feeds… or just plug the URLs into w3c’s validator.
